Edith Hillinger: Collaging Cultures

Edith Hillinger: Collaging Cultures

Fleeing Nazi Germany at 3, living in Turkey until a teen, emigrating to Canada, then New York City and finally settling in Berkeley, Edith Hillinger has led a fascinating life of migration that echoes today's experience. In spite of contracting polio as a toddler which left her lame, Edith has made herself a full life of joy, creativity and travel. Still making art in her 9th decade, this Bay Area artist is a role model for us all.
